Categories let you organize your product catalog into logical groups like “Shoes”, “Apparel”, “Accessories”, or any classification that makes sense for your business.
Creating a category
Navigate to Categories
Go to Setup in the sidebar and select Categories.
Click Create
Click the “Create Category” button.
Enter details
Enter a category name (required) and an optional description.
Auto-generated slug
The system automatically generates a URL-friendly slug from the name.
Set status
Set the status to Active (visible on storefront) or Inactive (hidden).
Categories that have products assigned to them cannot be deleted. Move or reassign products first, or set the category to Inactive if you want to hide it temporarily.
