# Brands

> Manage product brands and manufacturers

Brands represent the manufacturers or labels of your products. Organizing by brand helps customers filter and find exactly what they are looking for.

## Creating a brand

<Steps>
  <Step title="Navigate to Brands">
    Go to Setup in the sidebar and select Brands.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Click Create">
    Click the "Create Brand" button.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Enter details">
    Enter a brand name (required) and description (optional), then click "Create Brand".
  </Step>

  <Step title="Access actions">
    Hover over the Actions button on any row for Update or Delete actions.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Set status">
    Set the status to Active (visible on storefront) or Inactive (hidden) in Update actions.
  </Step>

When creating products, you can assign a brand from your list. Use official brand names exactly as they appear to maintain consistency across your catalog. It is recommended to add all your brands before creating products for easier organization.
